Who we are

Mücke Roth & Company is an owner-operated consultancy in the heart of Munich with approximately 50 full-time professionals and over 70 independent industry experts. Since 2003, we have been creating growth for our clients by providing "hands-on" support in strategy development and implementation. Our consulting teams combine years of practical experience, industry know-how and methodical consulting expertise.

Our management and partners

Michael Mücke

Managing Director

Michael is the founder and has been leading the company since 2003. He is our expert for strategy development, the digitalization of business models and the implementation of technology and innovation potentials. As an entrepreneur, he is a trusted partner in selected industries and a successful start-up investor with extensive connections in the community.   Michael started his consulting career at Kearney in Munich. He is a member of the high-tech association BITKOM and on the advisory board of numerous startups. In his private life, Michael likes doing sports and spending time with his family – for example a game of tennis with friends or a family outing in nature.

Moritz Roth

Managing Director

Moritz is convinced that companies must become problem solvers in the digital world. He wants to help companies in Europe become winners in digitalization. Moritz believes that organizations that do not generate lasting growth in increasingly digital markets are gambling away their future.  He often encounters business leaders who have invested heavily in digital initiatives and are still waiting for their breakthrough. This is where he comes in. Together with his team, he designs marketing strategies and realigns product portfolios to provide evidence of scalable success.    Moritz is not a trained management consultant, but joined Mücke Roth & Company in 2017 with a practical background. He has led large organizations through digital transformation and been responsible for business worth billions of dollars. At 1&1, he was Chief Sales Officer, and at Google, he was Vice President responsible for the market launch of smartphones in Europe and Asia. At Microsoft, he spent six years as Chief Marketing Officer responsible for B2B and B2C marketing.   In his free time, Moritz can be found at antique markets, on bike tours through France or restoring classic cars. He lives in Pasing with his two children.  

Alexander Bernecker


Alexander's passion is to make things happen and to support companies in their professionalization in a way that creates tangible results for them and ensures successful growth in the long term.  Alexander has been partner since 2022, and his passion lies in commercial topics, especially customer value management. His consulting focus is therefore on increasing customer value and stabilizing customer relationships.  His background is strongly influenced by his professional past in international positions in Marketing & Sales, Customer Management & Experience as well as Product & Proposition Management. Most recently as Sales Director of a German IT company, previously as Chief Commercial Officer at a European telecommunications group and as Marketing Director of the former Eplus.    In his free time, he spends a lot of time with his family, in the forest on his mountain bike or on his Harley.

Researched by brandeins and Statista, recommended by clients and experts: MRC is among the best management consultancys in Germany in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Most recently, MRC was able to rank in first place for the Technology & Telecommunications sector and in the Digitalization sector. For the ranking, competitors including experts, partners and project managers of management consultancies as well as executives of large and smaller companies were asked for their opinion. They were asked which consulting firm is most knowledgeable in which subject area and performs best.

Focus Top Consultants 2021-2023

MRC was voted one of Germany's top consultancies by FOCUS-BUSINESS based on an independent online survey. For this purpose, recommendations from both colleagues and customers were obtained. The consultancies with the most mentions made it into the ranking.

Every year, the Handelsblatt Research Institute (HRI) identifies the consulting firms that are considered to be particularly renowned this year. MRC was able to stand out against a peer group of 15,700 consultants and over 325 consulting firms in the areas of technology and media & telecommunications.

Best Consultants Medium-Sized Businesses 2023

The SZ Institute commissioned the market research institute INNOFACT to identify the best medium-sized management consultancies in Germany. A total of 65 of the 231 SME management consultancies surveyed qualified for the "Best Consultants for SMEs" ranking. The award was given to companies that were able to achieve an index value (as an overall result from the results of the individual criteria and awareness) of at least 100 in the evaluation.

Software-Angebote weisen nicht nur in technologischer Hinsicht im Vergleich zu Hardware-Produkten völlig andere Charakteristiken auf, sondern bieten auch Chancen für neue Geschäftsmodelle mit wiederkehrenden Einnahmeströmen wie beispielsweise Subscription-, Community- oder Pay-per-Use-Modelle. Pricing & Vertragserfüllung in Krisenzeiten: Wie Kunden und Lieferanten zusammenarbeiten

Es sind schwierige Zeiten für die Wirtschaft und das bedeutet oft große Herausforderungen für Lieferanten ihre Kunden und deren Endkunden. Viele Unternehmen stehen vor einer existenziellen Krise. Die durch steigende Kosten verursachten Preiserhöhungen können Kunden in die Insolvenz treiben, die ihren Endkunden Festpreise angeboten hatten. Lieferanten sehen sich in ihrer Existenz bedroht, weil sie Kostensteigerungen nicht weitergeben können oder dies aufgrund vertraglicher Vereinbarungen nicht dürfen.
